Masamichi Ishibashi was born in Tokyo in 1936. His eponymous label REDMAN is an honorary name from the Oklahoman Kiowa tribe, from where he was inspired to create his intricate jewellery. His connection with Native Americans started when Ishibashi first arrived in the US in the 50s. Fascinated, he immersed himself in their traditions. He cultivated his techniques and began making jewellery infused with strong yet delicate artistry that he has continued to perfect over the decades.
