Swedish audio lifestyle brand Urbanears is announcing the release of their true wireless headphones Urbanears Boo and Boo Tip. The new headphones mark the beginning of a new era as Urbanears commits to becoming fully circular and climate neutral by 2030, with the new brand concept “In the Making”, which celebrates progress instead of perfection, and puts development and sustainability at its core. In the Making lives in every part of Urbanears business, with this concept, we strive towards progression and continuously doing better, to improve inclusion, equality, and transparency. Urbanears brings two more sustainable alternatives to the headphone market, Boo made from 97% recycled plastics and Boo Tip, 91% respectively. The headphones are defined by a clean and minimalistic design and come in three colors - Charcoal Black, Almost Green, and Slightly Blue. Urbanears Boo has an open-fit headphone that lets you enjoy your content while still, passively, taking in your surroundings. If you don’t prefer the open-fit headphone, Urbanears Boo Tip comes with three sizes of silicone tips that allow you to plug in your customized in-ear fit. A Better-Sounding Future Is In The Making In addition to Urbanears Boo and Boo Tip launch, Urbanears has introduced a series of sustainability initiatives during 2021 within the “In the Making” concepts, including: • Separate sales of charging cables to reduce waste. Most consumers already have one or more USB-C cables today. • Plastic-free packaging, made from 80% recycled paper, which has been weight and volume optimized to minimize waste and avoid “shipping air”. Made From >90% Recycled Plastics Boo and Boo Tip are made from >90%* recycled plastics. The recycled plastics consist of old plastic bottles and air conditioner units. 30 Hours of Playtime With the wireless charging case, you get 30 hours of playtime with up to 4-5 hours of playtime per charge. Longer Battery Lifetime Thanks to an optimized charging technology where only 80% of the battery’s capacity is used, the lifetime of the battery and the headphones are prolonged. Clear Calls Dual noise filtering microphones on each earbud ensure clear conversations - even in noisy places.
